Santiago de Compostela
I have contacted Spain Day Tours and they have provided me the following information:
* Personal pick-up and drop off at the port in an air-conditioned mini-coach van or motor-coach bus
* An English speaking expert guide for a 2.5-3-hour guided walking tour in Santiago
* Guided walking tour for groups of 10 or more
* Total duration of 5-6 hours - subject to actual arrival and departure times of the ship
The price includes transportation, an English speaking driver-guide (or driver and guide for groups of 8 or more), and all taxes.
The excursion includes a guided walking tour in the old Unesco heritage town of Santiago de Compostela (which is a great pilgrimage site for people of the Catholic faith).
You start the day by driving through the scenic Galician countryside towards the town of Santiago de Compostela. From the hills, you will see one of the largest suspended bridges in Europe (the Rand Bridge) which spans across the Vigo Ria, a site of numerous naval battles between Spain and England in the 18th century. When you reach the town of Santiago de Compostela you will begin a comprehensive guided walking tour of the old and well-preserved historic town. The guide will recommend a place for lunch and provide some time on our own before returning to the ship.
They offer 2 options:
(1) Private tour for 8 - 99 Euros per person.
OR
(2) Small-group tour for 69 Euros per person (minimum 10 persons)
If your interested please contacted me at ([email protected]) and place Vigo Tour in the subject line.
